In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

3 reasons to book
  • Staff are the standout — The staff category scores 9.0, and reviews repeatedly mention welcoming, helpful reception staff. One guest says the team made them feel genuinely welcome; another names staff as the main reason they would stay again.
  • Central, walkable location — Located on Via Nazionale, the hotel is a 9-minute walk from Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels and the Martyrs and about a 10-minute stroll from Roma Termini. Guests describe it as close to the Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum and other central sights, with restaurants and shopping nearby.
  • Clean rooms and solid value — The facilities category scores 9.1 and the value category 8.2. Guests describe rooms as clean, comfortable and — by Rome standards — spacious, and one reviewer said they had not found a better deal for the price paid. Rooms include air conditioning, mini-bars and flat-screen TVs.

Worth weighing

3 to weigh
  • Comfort scores notably lower — Comfort is rated 5.9, well under the hotel's overall 8.1 and the 9.0 staff score. Some reviews point to noise — one guest mentions hearing children crying — and another found the room different from the photos before being offered a jacuzzi room for an extra €15 per night.
  • Compact property, limited scale — With only 10 rooms, this is a small hotel rather than a full-service property. The amenity list is built around practical services — luggage storage, laundry, room service, tours and ticket help — rather than leisure extras. Breakfast is available in-room.
  • Policies worth noting — Pets are not allowed, smoking is prohibited on site, and check-out starts at 08:00 and ends at 11:00. Check-in runs from 12:00 to 23:59, so late arrivals need to arrive before midnight. The amenity list includes a car park, but the data does not specify pricing or booking terms.

“Excellent location, a smooth check-in process and charming local decor.”

8.1Verified guest

“An exceptionally comfortable property in the Repubblica district, just off everything — attractions, restaurants and shopping. The Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum and plenty of restaurants were close by, and the location worked well for getting to most places in Rome.”

8.1Verified guest

“Very good stay, as always. The hotel was immaculately clean and excellently located in Rome, with excellent staff. Rooms were good value and featured a shower; there were, for example, kids crying. Breakfast included juice and jam, and the hotel was very easy to reach from Ciampino Airport, just 12 miles away.”

8.1Verified guest

“I liked being close to everything — the location was ideal — and having breakfast in the room. The room itself was really nice and clean.”

8.1Verified guest

“We loved the location: a particularly good, attractive setting very close to the centre. Breakfast at the bar was perfect, and the staff were very welcoming and took care of us.”

8.1Verified guest

“We booked a double room and were not very satisfied because it looked a bit different from the photos online. After talking with the manager, the lovely Marisa, she offered us a double room with a jacuzzi, which was much better, for just €15 more per night — and the extra cost was not even taken from us. If you want a nice stay, I would recommend booking a jacuzzi room.”
